It was a pleasure to be invited at the Embassy of Kosovo in London for the ‘Lëng Shege Mbi Lule Bore’ by Amine Meshnuni book launch.
The evening started with a few opening words by the ambassador of Kosovo In London, Ilir Kapiti; it continued with a short introduction by the book’s editor, the poet, novelist, esthetician, essayist, political scientist, and analist, Bedri Islami, followed by a talk from the chairwoman of the board of directors in the advocacy forum for the rights of asylum seekers in London, executive director and founder of “Kosovo Albanian Youth Against Violence (KAYAV)” and manager of Mental Health Recovery and Wellbeing at MIND, Mrs Rema Duli.
The night was highlighted by a poetic reading from the book by the language and literature teacher, founder and director of the Albanian School in the United Kingdom ‘Iliria’ Mrs Djana Kociaj and two musical breaks by the pianist Anise Meshnuni.
Amina thanked Anise’s teacher, Mariela Çingo, a founding member of BACA, for having worked to teach patiently her sister, who brought two beautiful music pieces. The event continued with a cocktail, food and networking among the over 60 participants.
