On the 22nd of October, BACA, in collaboration with SEND & Sensory, organised the launch event of the new SEND & Sensory clinic in Kilburn and the release of the book “Navigating Autism: 101 Tips for Parents with Extraordinary Kids.”
SEND & Sensory was born from a personal mission led by Esmeralda Capja, to make a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This special event celebrates the success of her journey, marked by two fundamental milestones: the expansion into a new location and the book’s release.
The evening started with an opening talk by Esmeralda and Nicholas, the company’s CFO/COO. Moderated by BACA’s chairperson, Tomorr Kokona, they shared their personal experiences, expert advice, and inspiring stories about what led to being the book’s co-authors.
The event continued with a book review session. Prominent figures from the Albanian and international community, including BACA’s founding member and renowned classical pianist Mariela Cingo, presented their insights on the author’s work. The session concluded with an open discussion involving the audience, followed by a book-signing ceremony and recognition of the SEND & Sensory staff.
It all culminated with a networking session accompanied by a musical interlude from Aurel Qirjo and Altin Gjoni, who brought a piece of Albania’s tradition through the sounds of the guitar and violin while refreshments were offered to the participants.
