Altin Gjoni Chosen to Represent Albania in the 2024 OneBeat Balkans Programme

The British Albanian Culture and Arts (BACA) Organisation is thrilled to announce that musician Altin Gjoni has been selected as Albania’s representative for the 2024 OneBeat Balkans programme. This prestigious initiative is part of the globally renowned OneBeat series, which serves as a gathering place for the musical leaders of the 21st century. OneBeat acts as an incubator for music-based social entrepreneurship, where innovative musicians from around the world collaborate to create projects designed to make a positive impact on both local and global communities.

Launched in 2012 by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and produced by the NYC-based arts organization Found Sound Nation, OneBeat has grown over the years from an annual U.S.-based residency and tour programme to a constellation of year-round activities, including international residencies, virtual residencies, artist-industry incubation, a podcast, a training institute, and even a schools curriculum. The programme empowers musicians to collaboratively write, produce, and perform original music, all while developing strategies for arts-based civic and social engagement.
