Following the annual BACA AGM. Altin Gjoni was chosen as the new BACA – British Albanian Culture & Arts Association Chairman.
Altin Gjoni is a music/creative industry professional, music producer, renowned international session musician, and a Chevening scholarship alumnus from Tirana living between Tirana and London, having studied music industry management at the University of West London.
As a studio musician, Altin has recorded for hundreds of International artists, ranking as one of the top-rated online musicians in the world. He plays guitar for the UK band Rusty Halo and has produced/written songs for the Albanian Eurovision National Finals. He played at various events in London, including the Mother Therers memorial, along with pianist Mariela Cingo.
Altin is the director of the Muse-X conference – the premium music and arts Expofest in the Balkans, where he brought BACA as guests and exhibitors, founder of the first music industry education hub in Albania’s Balkan Music Industry, where he brought speakers and industry experts from the UK to teach Albanian artists and industry professionals.
Altin also spearheaded an EU-funded cultural project (MOST Balkan alumni), where he founded the project Folk Rocks. He is a writer for various music magazines/websites and works with multiple music companies worldwide. He also produced cultural events bridging UK and Albanian arts and culture.
