On 9 September 2026, a promotional event for the Albanian author and our LSE professor, Ms Lea Ypi, was held.
This unprecedented event, conducted in Albanian, took place in the heart of London, at the Royal Academy of Music!
The event’s originator and moderator was Ms Anila Kadija, who has now turned this into something of a showcase of prominent Albanian women authors, organised in partnership with the Albanian Book Lovers Culture Club and British Albanian Culture Arts.
The wonderful atmosphere and the guests present lent every conversation with the author a backdrop of high intellectual calibre.
The event was honoured by the presence of H.E. the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania, Mr Uran Ferizi, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps of the Embassy of Kosovo: Mr Vlorat Gashi, Ms Valmira Thaçi Muça and Ms Arta Qehaja.
The conversation carried philosophical, literary and social nuances, with questions and dialogue with the author building bridges of thought and experience.
A musical prelude filled the air with the scores of composers Johann Sebastian Bach and Tonon Arapi, performed on cello by music professor Ms Brikelda Syla and her young, talented student, Isabella Bejko.
The characters from the books “Free” and “Indignity: A Life Reimagined” came naturally among us through the readings and wide ranging discussions, with a sense of belonging and respect for the spoken and unspoken truths of this fascinating and great familyof historical worth, documented in the archive of a dynasty that has contributed to Albania’s image with nobility and intellect. Two books translated into 37 languages, with a third due for publication soon.
The strength of Albanian women authors in the United Kingdom, from which the idea behind “The Pen That Tills Life” took its cue, represents the standing of Albanian women’s values beyond the border.

Në datën 9 shtator 2026 u organizua promovimi i autores shqiptare, me profesoren tonë të LSE, zonjën Lea Ypi.
Ky event pa preçedencë dhe në gjuhën shqipe, në zemër të Londrës, pati vend në Akademinë Mbretërore të Muzikës!
Promovuese ideatore dhe moderatore Znj. Anila Kadija. E cila tashmë e ka bërë si një panair, autoresh shqiptare, të rëndësishëm këtë organizim në bashkëpunim me Albanian Book Lovers Culture Club & British Albanian Culture Arts.
Atmosfera e shkëlqyer dhe të pranishmit i dhanë një sfond të një niveli të lartë intelektual çdo bisede me autoren.
Nderuan me praninë e tyre SH. T Ambasadori i Republikës së Shqipërisë Z.Uran Ferizi. Përfaqësuesit e trupit diplomatik të Ambasadës së Kosovës Z.Vlorat Gashi, Znj. Valmira Thaçi Muça, Znj. Arta Qehaja.
Biseda pati nuanca filozofike, letrare dhe shoqërore ku pyetjet dhe bashkëbisedimi me autorën krijuan ura lidhëse mendimesh dhe eksperiencash.
Një prelud muzikor përhapi aromën e partiturave, në violonçel, të kompozitorëve Johan Sebastian Bach dhe Tonon Arapi nga profesoresha e muzikës Znj. Brikelda Syla dhe studentja e saj e reja e talentuar Isabella Bejko.
Personazhet e librave nga “ Të lirë “ dhe “ Të poshtëruar” erdhën midis nesh natyrshëm në leximet dhe diskutimet e gjëra, me ndjenjën e përkatësisë dhe respektit për të vërtetat e thëna dhe të pathëna të kësaj familje interesante dhe të madhe, me vlera historike dhe të dokumentuar në arkivin e një dinastie e cila ka kontribuar për imazhin e Shqipërisë në mënyrë fisnike dhe intelektuale. Dy libra të përkthyer në 37 gjuhë ku pritet së shpejti edhe i treti për botim.
Forca e autoreve shqiptare në Mbretërinë e Bashkuar, prej të cilave ka marrë shkas idea e realizimit e “ Pena Që Lëvron Jetë” është përfaqësim i vlerave femërore shqiptare përtej kufirit.
